Low def light on but tank is full

DEF refill in 335d. I bought 2 2.5 gal DEF bottles from bav auto. Based on some searching I found upper nozzle is to fill passive tank and lower for active tank. I was able to fill about 1 gal into active. I thought I will put rest 1.5gal into passive but wasnt able to fill it. It just kept draining out.

One goes down to about the 2 gal mark (Low DPF) and the other is about at the 4 gal area. I discovered this when I pulled my tank off. Just put 5 gals in and it should reset.One gallon of DEF (after the Low DEF message) is not enough to reset the LOW DEF message. If you read your owners manual it suggests that you have to add at least 2 GALLONS of DEF to get the message to clear.
