Leadership in organizations

The perspective espoused in this handbook is to encourage more systems-level thinking around leadership that incorporates leaders, followers, dyads, teams, organizations, and contextual concerns. In looking to the future of leadership, ways to interconnect these various perspectives on leadership are encouraged.

Leadership in organizations. The importance of leadership in management is that it engages, enables, and energizes people to bring their best selves to work. Understanding that people are led and organizations are managed, and demonstrating the two different skill sets, enables a safe, engaging, productive, and sustainable business.
