Allow them to air dry completely before using them again.

And then take the yarn off the fork and then trim the top and bottom of the yarn to open up the loops. It’s gonna look really hideous at this point but the trimming will fix it. And then you start shaping! I still recommend standard pom pom makers but forks are great way to create tiny pom poms. If you don't trust the rubber band, tape is your second best bet -- glue just gets messy and tissue paper does not take well to it. Shake the pom pom out like you would in the stands.
