Now...I don't know what all that means, but it seems that the newer, more powerful, 5.3 that yields 355 bhp and 388 ft/lbs of torque should almost be a wash with 3.42 gears to run 35s. ... I've got 5.3L and had 3.42 gears when I put on my 6" pro comp with 35" nitto Terra's wasn't happy with the power loss at all. Upgraded to 4.56 gears this summer and now pleased with the power return.If you are concerned about that, run the 17" wheels off the newer 2500HDs that are 7.5" wide, or the 17x8.5" wheels that come stock on the Hummer H2s.
